I have recently attended a few of Howard's zoom lessons and found them to be very well structured, with excellent pre-class information (including photos, sketches, thoughts on how to approach the painting) then a well paced and often exhilarating painting demonstration, followed by a very helpful & detailed critique on my painting. I have been a student for a year at Howard's Chapel Cottage studio watercolour course also attended his other workshops and spent time on a painting holiday that he facilitated. I found these experiences invaluable to my progress as a watercolourist and latterly my work in acrylics, (he is very generous in sharing his skills and personal techniques) In the current Covid 19 situation, he has been proactive in enabling myself and others to take advantage the zoom workshops, (very patiently to those of us who were not technically minded) which he organised.
